My dirty laundry…
All I have to say is thank God for great friends, family and the TV show. In a previous post, I talked about my grandmother going downhill, now my mom has taken a turn. My mother suffers from manic-depression and, understandably, she’s become off kilter since it seems Granny is getting closer and closer to the light. Without getting too deep into our family’s current woes, it seems just when things can’t get any worse… they do. I know my mom is in great hands and I’ve been through this before, but it never gets any easier. I definitely couldn’t get through this without my friends and family… and even doing the TV/web series provides a sense of escapism.
When me and my dad were visiting with my mother today, amidst her current struggles, we chuckled as mom kind of felt guilty for making me a “mama’s boy”… to which I told her I happily own that title! With mom away, me and dad are pulling double duty around the house, particularly the laundry.
Now laundry has never been my forte… which is a fancy way of saying I’ve never done it before… but hey, that’s mom’s fault for making me a mama’s boy
But I faced the challenge head on with the help of, not 1, but 2 English “Brooms”. My friends Tony & Roxy Broom, came over tonight for what I dubbed a “laundry-doin’ party”, so they could teach me the fine art of “laundry-doin’”. Of course it didn’t help matters that both the dynamic sibling duo kept bickering on which method of cleaning was better for me to do. Roxy captured this momentous occasion w/ her Blackberry:
I shall report back if anything goes awry!

Um if Tony wouldn’t think he was always right there would be no bickering!!! lol Glad you can do laundry by yourself now
